Tamales are a lot of work... but there so good and you can make lots and freeze or share... Tamales are a Mexican party food, making the tamale is actually the main part of the party. Today I made a cheese stuffed tamale, it is the best yet... I have made pork and beef previously.
This is my second time making tamales and I'm still learning.
Tamales are like corn bread, but not sweet stuffed with meat, cheese, peppers... Steamed in the husk of corn, also when available (not in Minnesota) bananas leafs and sometimes palms.
